Mental health
Our mental health support service can help you with advice and assistance to better care for your loved one, patient, or client with their mental health issues.
We can provide support to carers, family members or those working in the care industry and concerned about someone’s mental health.
Our team of Mental Health Educators can help with:
- assessments and supervision
- advice about mental illness, challenging behaviours and treatments
- finding mental health services to support your patient, client or loved one
- liaison with mental health professionals and doctors
Our education, referral and advisory service is offered by phone. However, we can come to homes, aged care facilities or other locations depending on your circumstances.

Services for work force
We aim to provide community groups and health service providers better knowledge and ability to work with people with mental health disorders, and their carers, families and friends.
Services for family and carers
We can also educate and advise carers and families on ways to better support their loved one with a mental health illness to be as independent, safe and supported as possible within the community.
Who is eligible?
Our mental health support service is available to anyone working in the care industry, caring for individuals suffering from mental health illness, and all carers and family members who support and care for individuals with mental health illness. Our mental health support service is available state-wide. The person/s you are concerned about does not need to be with Silver Chain for you to receive help.
