Help with communication
We can give you individual support with all aspects of daily communication to make your life easier and more enjoyable.
There’s many reasons why we might be having trouble communicating with others, like:
- having difficulty hearing
- a vision or speech impairment
- speaking English as your second language.
If you are facing any of these challenges, it could be preventing you from engaging with your friends and family, and staying connected to your community. If so, we’re here to help.
We can help you fit sensory communication aids or check the batteries in your hearing aid.
There may be social groups or online tools we can suggest that can help address language barriers.
Or it can be as simple as helping you clean your glasses, use the telephone or write a letter or email.
We know that everyone likes to do things differently, so if there's something else you need help with, just ask us.
Make sure you let your aged care assessor or care co-ordinator know if you need help with communication.
Otherwise you can call our friendly team and ask for help.
