With the help of our specialist nurses, you can receive the stoma care you need in the privacy and comfort of your home, without needing to visit hospital.
A stoma is an opening made by a surgeon, usually on your abdomen, involving either your bladder or bowel. These are also known as a colostomy, an ileostomy or a urostomy, depending on which part of the bladder or bowel is involved.
An opening through your trachea can also be categorised as a stoma, although these are less common.
Our nurses, including stomal therapists, can help you:
- understand how to care for your stoma
- solve any issues that arise
- learn what other resources are available to you in the community.
