Managing medication

Learn about the medication you are taking and how to manage it in the right way, to get the best results and reduce the risk of side effects.

Your general practitioner (GP) or medical specialist may have commenced you on a new medication. Sometimes this requires adjustment to the dose or monitoring for a short period of time.

Our nurses can come to your home to help you:

  • learn more about the medication you are starting
  • take your medication properly
  • understand how to monitor your symptoms and what to report back to your GP.

We can also be there for support to make sure you’ve taken it as prescribed.

You can ask your nurse for help to answer any questions you or your family may have about your medication for peace of mind that you’re managing it in the right way.
