Depending on your personal circumstances, you may be eligible for government-subsidised home care.
There are two types of home care programs that are subsidised by the Australian Government. Both are designed to help you to live independently at home and meet your changing needs as you get older. The South Australian Government also funds support to adults with chronic conditions.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme provides basic home support services of up to a few hours a week to support you to carry out everyday activities. This support could help you get back on your feet, improve your strength and mobility, help with showering, cleaning or getting out and about.

Home Care Packages
A Home Care Package is the next step on from the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and is a combination of Government funds and your own contribution.
There are four different levels of funding that may be approved depending on your assessed needs.
