Feeling lonely

We offer a range of services to help combat the social isolation often experienced by older people as a result of the changes that happen in later life.

Such changes often result in a decline in the quality and quantity of social relationships and community connection. Research shows the importance of social relationships, social inclusion and community participation on maintaining independence, health and wellbeing.

You may benefit from some of our programs designed to help you reconnect with people and activities in your local community:

  • Community and companionship - enjoying a busy social life and involvement in the community is great for your physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Leisure and interests - keeping physically and mentally active is essential to your overall health and wellbeing - and it can be a lot of fun!

We understand that each person’s circumstances or living situation is different to the next, so we will always work with you to tailor your care and services to your own personal needs and preferences. If there’s something you need or would like that you don’t see here, just ask!
