Support for family and carers
To give someone your best care, you also need to be at your best. Our team can provide your loved one with respite care during the day or overnight, so you can take some time out to rest and recharge, or to simply to do the things you enjoy doing.
We work with you to design a respite care plan based on what works for you and your carer, some options can include:
- Taking your loved ones out such as visiting friends, going for walks, or even watching movies or to simply have a chat
- General help around the home, such as housekeeping.
Who can access our services?
Our respite care and carer support services are suitable for people who may need a little support with everyday tasks due to age, impaired mobility, illness or disability.
Fees and pricing
Services can be self-funded for any person of any age. If you or your loved one is aged 65 years and over, or are an Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander over 50 years, you may be eligible for government funding for aged care services through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or through a Home Care Package.
As an RDNS Silverchain client, you will need to pay a small contribution fee for our services. These fees help us to deliver more services to more people in South Australia.
