Sensory garden celebrated
Margaret River Social Centre has officially opened their new sensory garden at an Open Day attended by clients and friends of the centre.
The garden and its installation was generously donated by the local Bunnings, with centre’s clients adding their own special touches.
Social Centre Co-ordinator Noelene Fuller said: “Sensory gardens are an excellent way to engage people who are living with dementia.
“The sight, smell and touch of plants helps to prompt memories and there are visual and interactive elements placed along the pathway.”
Thanks to all who contributed to the creation of the garden.
