Introducing the Silver Chain Group National Consumer Advisory Group
A new National Consumer Advisory Group, consisting of Silver Chain clients, consumers and carers from across Australia, had its first meeting in September.
The group has been formed to make sure your best interests, as a Silver Chain client, are addressed and met.
The group will provide input and help guide Silver Chain policies, service delivery and quality and safety standards, ultimately helping us to meet our vision of delivering the world’s best health and aged care services to enable people to confidently live the life they choose.
National Consumer Australian Group member, Robyn Martin said providing the best care, to every person, every time is at the heart of what the committee is trying to achieve.
Fellow group member, Elaine Scholfield said she was looking forward to contributing ideas and making a real difference for the people using Silver Chain services.
“The members of this group have a wealth of expertise and it is really inspiring to see how passionate everyone is about ensuring quality care,” Mrs Schofield said.
Silver Chain Group Manager, Capability & Excellence, Leonie Cross said the National Consumer Advisory group will enhance our understanding of what is important to our clients.
“The group’s passionate members have a wealth of knowledge, networks and experience with aged care and will help us build stronger relationships with our community,” Ms Cross said.
“The consumer perspective is essential to how we operate and plays a key role in helping us achieve our goal of providing client-centred based care on the principles of dignity, respect and independence.”
