You may have heard in the news that disability support in Australia is changing.
The Federal Government’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims to ensure people with disability continue to get the support they need through changes to existing disability support systems.
Trials of the NDIS have started in a number of locations around Australia.
Western Australia has started participating in a two year trial of the NDIS. The trials consist of two models – the Federal Government’s NDIS model and the State Government’s WA NDIS My Way model.
What do you need to know?
If you are living in a designated trial site area, you are a person with disability and under 65 years of age, you may be eligible to participate in a trial. To find out more please use the contact details provided or call our Contact Centre on (08) 9242 0242.
