We are delighted to report that we had an outstanding response to our recent Winter Appeal to enable us to hire a specialised Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. More than $600,000 was raised and is the largest and most successful appeal in Silver Chain history.
Silver Chain General Manger of Health Care WA Mark Cockayne said his team was overwhelmed with the generosity of all our donors.
“We are now looking to introduce this new role in the next few months, which will enable us to deliver world class palliative care to people with end stage dementia and other chronic diseases.” Mark said.
“We’d also like to thank people for their support during our previous appeal for funds for additional medical equipment.
“We have begun using the funds to purchase much needed equipment such as specialised medication infusion pumps for palliative care services.
“We are very thankful for all the donations we receive – every dollar helps us so much and we’ll continue to make sure your donated funds are used to create the very best outcomes for our clients.”
Iluka Resources and Piacentini & Son
Two local mining companies in partnership have generously donated $5,000 to our Eneabba clinic. The funds will be used to replace and upgrade our clinical equipment. Thank you very much to the Iluka Resources and Piacentini & Son for giving back to your community.
