The much anticipated refurbishment of Silver Chain’s Saddleback Health Centre in Brookton is now complete and was officially reopened earlier this year.
The significance of the occasion was marked by the attendance of Federal Member for O’Connor, Rick Wilson, representatives from Silver Chain, Brookton Shire and St John Ambulance.
The Saddleback Health Centre was transferred to Silver Chain from the Brookton Shire in 2012 and internal reconstruction works commenced in August 2014.
Silver Chain Regional Manager, Primary Health, Lesley Pearson, said the welcomed upgrade was made possible thanks to funding from Silver Chain and the Brookton Shire.
“This is a great example of how two organisations can work together to improve the services for our clients in the Brookton area,” Lesley said.
“The refurbishment has allowed for greater unity, engagement and cohesion of medical services in the area and provides more streamlined access for the Brookton community.
“Saddleback is an integral part of the community and we are pleased to be able to support the ongoing delivery of the essential services provided at this health centre.”
The centre delivers nursing, school and child health checks and facilitates visiting occupational therapists as well as other allied health services, general practitioners, podiatry, pathology and financial counselling.
