Silver Chain Group Board

The Silver Chain Group Board was formed in September 2011 and comprises members from both the Silver Chain and RDNS SA boards.

The Board has extensive experience and knowledge in the health care industry, as well as commercial and business expertise which they bring to the Silver Chain Group.

Anne Skipper
AM Grad Dip Nursing. FAICD

Anne was appointed Chair of RDNS SA in 2007 and became Chair of Silver Chain Group Board on 1 September 2011. Anne has extensive experience in corporate governance and company directorships over 30 years.

She is also currently a lecturer for the Australian Institute of Company Directors nationally and internationally. Anne's current directorships include People's Choice Credit Union and Global Centre for Modern Ageing.

Dr Mary McNulty

Further to the merger with RDNS SA in September 2011, former Silver Chain Chair (2008 - 2011) Dr Mary McNulty is Vice Chair of the Silver Chain Group Board. Mary has served on the board since 1997 and will continue

to chair both the Corporate Governance and Human Research Ethics Committees. Mary is a General Practitioner in suburban Perth with a special interest in palliative care, having worked with our Hospice Care Service for 31 years. She has been involved with general practitioner education and the promotion of palliative care.

Haydn Chrystal

A Silver Chain Board Member since 2010, Haydn is Executive Chairman for the Chrystal Group and has been responsible for the ongoing growth and implementation of the strategic direction for the Chrystal family group of companies since 1995.

He brings 20 years of experience as a non-executive director on various boards and is currently President Director of PT Caterlindo (Indonesia).

Kathy Gramp

Kathy was appointed to the Board of RDNS SA in October 2008 and to the Silver Chain Group Board in September 2011 and is Chair of the Group's Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Kathy’s experience at both board and operational levels spans a diverse range of Australian organisations and industries. She is Deputy Chairman of Masonic Homes Ltd and Masonic Charities Ltd, a Director and Chair of Audit and Risk of Codan Limited and The Bushfire and Natural Hazard CRC, and Director and member of Audit Risk Committee of the Royal Automobile Association of SA, The Australian Institute of Company Directors, Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance, and Uniti Wireless ltd. Kathy contributes to the community through the Leaders Institute of SA and as a member of the Council of Flinders University of South Australia and Prince Alfred College.

Robert Knowles

The Hon Rob Knowles was appointed to the RDNS Board in August 2009 and the Silver Chain Group Board in September 2011.

He is a farmer and company director at Clarendon Victoria. Rob served 24 years in the Victorian Parliament and was Minister for Health, Aged Care and Housing in the Kennett Government. He is currently Chairman of the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne and serves as a Director on the Boards of Global Health Ltd, IPG Ltd, Drinkwise Australia Ltd and Beyondblue Ltd.

Robert Radley
MSc(Eng), MBA, EDP (Cornell), GAICD

Appointed to the Board in November 2008, Robert is Managing Partner of Azure Consulting.

Prior to this, Robert was a partner at Bain & Company and is a former Partner and Perth Advisory Leader of PwC. Robert is also a former Managing Director of Poynton & Partners/GEM Consulting. He has been a management consultant for over 24years. Prior to that he held senior management roles in information technology and at a national R&D facility. Robert has extensive strategy development and performance improvement experience in a wide range of industry sectors. His consulting career has enabled him to work in Europe, North America, South America, South Africa, Asia and Australia. Robert is Chairman (non-exec) of Azure Capital, the CSIRO appointed Board Member of Coogee Titanium, a Board Member of the Ability Centre; and a former Board member of Aquinas College and Autism West. He is an external co-opted committee member of Edith Cowan University’s Resources and Governance & Nomination Committees.

Michael Still

Michael joined Silver Chain Board in August 2014. He has enjoyed a 30 year career in corporate leadership, investment banking, equity and debt markets and infrastructure within Australia and globally.

Michael is Chairman of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, a past board member of the Northern Sydney Local Health District, board member of the New South Wales Cancer Institute and is a Committee Member of the Medical Devices Fund Expert Panel (NSW Govt). He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Shane Solomon

Shane Solomon

Shane is Silver Chain’s newest Director and was appointed to the Board in October 2017. Shane has over 30 years of international and national healthcare management expertise and is currently Chair of the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority.

He currently provides health strategy and advisory services and has non-executive director roles. Prior to this he was the founding Managing Director of Telstra Health, a new eHealth business within Telstra.

Shane's previous roles include KPMG’s Partner in Charge, Healthcare. In this role, he worked with state and Australian Governments, along with private sector health organisations. Shane was also the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, managing Hong Kong’s 57,000 public hospital staff and in Victoria, he was Under-Secretary of Health at the Department of Human Services. Shane holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Arts as well as being a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and an Adjunct Professor University of Technology in Sydney.
