Silver Chain launches new look, same dedication
4 July 2012
Following the merger of Silver Chain and RDNS South Australia (SA) in September 2011, making it a national organisation, Silver Chain this week launched its new brand. Now one of the largest not-for-profit in-community health and care organisations in Australia, the new identity presents a consistent image to staff, clients and the community across Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland.
The new brand symbolises the merger and recognises the history of the two organisations. The cross symbol has been a key element in the RDNS brand for many years and the name Silver Chain has been synonymous with high quality home-based care for over 100 years. Nationally, the organisation will be known as Silver Chain but has adopted the ‘look and feel’ of RDNS, including the colours and ribbon device, which represents embracing clients and ‘wrapping’ health and care services around the whole community.
Silver Chain’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chris McGowan said, “The new look and feel is the culmination of the bringing together of two great community health providers: both with strong customer focus, research and teaching capabilities; both loved by their local communities; both with the potential to redefine the nature and value of health and care in Australia, now and in the future.
“It’s an exciting time as we continue to grow and look for new and better ways to care for our clients and communities across all states” added Mr McGowan.
Last year’s merger resulted in the combined business entity of RDNS SA, YourLife Queensland, and Silver Chain being one of the largest not-for-profit in-community health and care organisations in Australia.
