Beacon

Silver Chain Beacon currently provides health care within the boundaries of Bencubbin, Mukinbudin, Koorda, Merredin, Kununoppin, Wyalkatchem. This area is comprised of native bushland and pastoral land. Bird watching and prolific wildflowers bring tourists to the towns throughout the year. 

Silver Chain plan and co-ordinate a range of services including emergency services, prevention and health promotion, disease control, maternal / school / child health and development screening.

Silver Chain conducts regular evaluation through survey and feedback from staff and the community to ensure service delivery and the model of care is linked to priorities and needs.

Primary health and chronic disease management are important service provision across all Silver Chain sites. Nationally, there is a strong focus around primary health, capacity building communities and working strong partnerships with key health care providers.

Silver Chain works in close collaboration with other key stakeholders such as  WA Country Health Service (WACHS), St John Ambulance (SJA), Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), State Emergency Service (SES) and Fire & Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia (FESA) to respond to (accident) and emergency when requested and when available.
