The Home Independence User Manual describes the development of the Home Independence Program (HIP) and how it works. The purpose of the manual is twofold:
- To assist new members of Silver Chain’s Independence Teams to implement the program as designed.
- To facilitate the adoption of the program by other home care agencies.
In order to do this, the manual describes why the program was developed and the theory and key principles on which it is based, as well as how it works on a day to day basis. This is further complemented by case histories, the evidence for the program’s effectiveness and comprehensive appendices which contain examples of key forms and processes used within the program.
The cost of the manual is (AU$) 99 including GST plus (AU$) 5.50 for postage and packaging.
