The SmartPhone, a Sony Ericsson P910 mobile telephone, enables our nurses to be able to access information about clients such as their details, referrals, diagnosis, alerts contacts and services they are receiving with just a touch of a button no matter where they are.  SmartPhones also enable our nurses to record in real time the clients assessment details and information about wound care. 
 
Silver Chain's large and mobile workforce needs the ability to be able to provide and capture up to date information which is essential for providing efficient care.
 
Since the SmartPhone solution was introduced, it has been well received by nurses, has delivered cost savings, streamlined business processes and improved care delivery.

ComCare
 
Silver Chain also developed ComCare, a client management application which was designed for community and residential health care organisations. 
 
It is a strategic tool in the delivery of client care and an essential support system for organisations wishing to reduce unit costs and improve productivity, whilst managing staff workloads and maintaining the best possible care for clients.
 
ComCare captures all referral, assessment and minimum data set information via a user friendly system wizard.  This approach significantly reduces errors and data processing time.
 
A screening tool on ComCare assists the user to identify eligibility and primary assessment prior to service allocation.
 
ComCare provides the flexibility to perform and record client information locally by operators who are directly connected to the system or by remote users using mobile technology in the field.
